NEW PROVIDENCE, NEW JERSEY: Rich in history and incorporated in 1899, New Providence dates back to Colonial days when it was known as Turkey Town. Today, within its three square mile border, New Providence is a gracious tree-lined community which still cherishes the emblem of a worthy past. Located next to Summit, New Providence has access to this larger city's many facilities. Downtown New Providence offers a variety of shopping and several malls are within ten minutes of this serene community. Murray Hill, an upscale section of New Providence borders both Summit and Berkeley Heights.
